‘Cinco De Mayo’ (5th of May) MEXICAN lunch
SOOOOO many folks have asked us to do a ‘taco’ event ….SOOOO we are, by celebrating the traditional California/Mexican Holiday ‘Cinco de Mayo’ here in the hills above Loule with traditional dishes. As usual it’s ‘all-you-can-eat’ including a 1/2 litre of wine per person. We make all our salsas, sauces, rubs and corn tortillas from scratch: Tacos, Tamales, Ceviche, Gucamole & even our own version of Churros are on the menu for this festive meal. So come on down and nosh on some darn good authentic Mexican food.

MAINS
CEVICHE (C) This dish most popular on the coast of the ‘Sea of Cortez’. Ceviche is a meal made from sweet raw, fresh fish which has been cured with a bit of salt lemon or lime juices .
TACOs, TACOs, TACOs: (C) traditional fillings: fish, pork, chicken, beef tongue, (& braised tofu). What can I say tacos are tacos. We Do NOT serve pre-made, mass produced, pre-frozen hard tortilla shells, “No Way, Jose!” only serve soft, delicious, corn tortillas
TAMALES (chicken and Vegetarian) Tamales are a traditional dish made of masa a corn-based dough), which is steamed in a corn husk or banana leaf. The Aztec and Maya civilizations, used tamales as portable food, for hunting trips, battles, and for traveling large distances. Tamales were also considered sacred as “food of the gods” Records show tamales being eaten over 9,000 years ago…
